The Mobile Classroom Project is now in its 5th year of operation. This project offers after school programs for children of all ages to help keep them at grade level as well as literacy programs for adults. It provides school supplies, educational field trips, and a daily presence of a qualified educator who truly cares for the families she works with.
In most of Romania, if a child is not at grade level, there is no option for them but to drop out and take their chances without an education. This means service jobs at the lowest pay-scale which are not enough to live on.
Our program helps to keep a group of about 75 children in school so that they have a real chance at a good future!

Back to School
Socks and Shoes!
Each fall, there is an expectation for children to arrive to school with a list of supplies which have been pre designed by the local school system. Very much like western schools, this is a standard understanding.
The beneficiaries of our program are not always able to afford these things and in fact, don’t often have the shoes they need to make the long walk to school.
Our Back to School program provides both. The books and writing utensils necessary, and warm shoes for those rainy and snowy days where wet and cold feet can end up in sickness ….
It’s a joy for any child to receive “Back to School” supplies and to have new shoes for the season.
